For the problem of education, increasingly complex challenges. Government policies and programs to improve the quality of education, does not seem to provide solution-based answers to the problems. This paper aims to find answers about, Education Policy in Indonesia, the Islamic Educational Paradigm Paradigm Shift Post-Reformation and post-Reformation Islamic Education. from the author analyzes, it was found that the development of education in Indonesia, at least using the four basic strategies, namely; first, equal access to education, second, the relevance of education, third, improving the quality of education, and, fourth educational efficiency. However, the implications of development in accordance with what is aspired. First, national education must have a vision of democratizing nation-oriented; Second, the national education should have a mission to create a comprehensive public participation; Third, the substance of basic education should be based on the development potential and creativity “student” in the totality of balance and harmony; Fourth, primary and secondary education need to develop a learning system that is egalitarian and democratic to avoid class groupings on the basis of academic ability; Fifth, higher education, not only oriented workforce preparation.
